sauna guide
A few gentle boundaries to help the heat, the sea air and the quiet work their magic.
hydrate
Replace the water you lose in the heat. Bring a bottle and drink plenty before, during and after your session.
listen to your body
Ten to fifteen minutes per round is enough for most people. If you're new to sauna, start with shorter sessions. Take breaks and cool off between rounds.
dress for sauna
Swimwear please. Avoid neoprene or synthetics. Natural fibres breathe better, absorb sweat and won’t release chemicals in the heat.
keep voices low
Be mindful of others and allow the space to stay calm and restful.
bring two towels
One to sit on during your session, and another to dry off. Take your towel with you whenever you step outside so seats stay free for others.
go easy on the steam
Pour slowly and make sure fellow guests are happy for more heat. We recommend one ladle roughly every twenty minutes.
no footwear inside
Please make sure you remove all footwear before entering the sauna.
remove jewellery
Metal gets hot inside the sauna and will cause burns.
